Frustrated furniture fitter Nigel Struddock (Timothy Spall), with the help of a sewing machine, creates an alter ego: 'Greywing' - a local caped crusader determined to fight evil and bring justice wherever he can. He's got the mask and the cape, but where's the crime?! Every superhero needs an arch enemy and soon dastardly ice cream tycoon, Benny Leake (Bernard Hill) appears on the scene to be Greywing's.Cheer for the hapless hero as he battles to stop villainous Benny Leake's sabotage plan, if only he can get the ice cream van to go fast enough. Local dramas come thick and fast for the gormless Greywing; dead fish are washed up on the beach and a funfair big wheel gets out of control. If that wasn't enough, Nigel's superhero alter-ego must jump into action at a dole office siege and things get tricky when his dastardly nemesis hires a heavy to dispose of him.
