We're Getting Better at This

Mercer Solutions is getting better at impossible problems. Unfortunately, the problems are getting better too. A balloon account belongs to a man who does not exist. A wardrobe hides a door that should not be there. Three mourners mistake the office for a funeral home, a painting has the wrong artist, and forty-seven people appear to live at the same address. Meanwhile, a teenager's grandmother follows the private investigator hired to follow him, hotel guests and management are somehow both right, and a promised dinner becomes one more case nobody can explain simply. As family histories, missing identities, private investigators, hotel records, and unexpected visitors collide, Daniel, Maya, and the rest of the team must decide what helping really means and when the best answer is simply to stay in the room. A warm, witty workplace comedy about impossible cases, complicated families, accidental communities, and a team gradually learning that they may finally be getting good at this.
