Mountain Of Thirteen

Thirteen came to the mountain seeking power. Only three remained to learn what power truly means.Serena, Raven, and Kael arrive at a secluded mountain where an aging master accepts only those willing to confront the reason behind their desire for strength. Their training is unlike anything they expected. They must cross deadly trials, learn to trust one another, and discover the secret of the Two Heirs Technique, a mysterious power that cannot be mastered by strength alone. But the mountain carries old wounds.Among the thirteen who once came seeking the master's teachings was Veyr, the most naturally gifted of them all. Rejected because he sought power as an end rather than a means, Veyr disappeared from the mountain. Years later, he returns with his ambition intact—and with a dangerous connection to the power the master has entrusted to his three remaining students. As Serena struggles with feelings she cannot easily choose between Raven and Kael, the three students are forced to confront something more difficult than any training exercise: whether trust, loyalty, and love can survive when their lives are placed in one another's hands. When Veyr finally attacks, the lessons of the mountain become a matter of life and death. Raven must decide what he is willing to sacrifice. Serena and Kael must learn whether their trust is strong enough to wield the power they were chosen to inherit. And their master must face the student whose potential he once refused to nurture. On a mountain built by warriors and guarded by the memories of the dead, three students will discover that the greatest inheritance is not strength. It is the choice of what that strength is meant to protect.
