Creepy Classics Omnibus

The shadow of an old man drags clanking chains through an ancient house, and a werewolf howls in the night. Achilles refuses to bury Patroclus, and a young Greek soldier finds himself fighting the same battle again, and again, and again… Meanwhile in Norway, poor Thorstein Thorkelsson just wants to do his business in the outhouse undisturbed, but it is not his lucky night. This omnibus edition of Creepy Classics combines three books; Ghost Stories from Ancient Greece, Ghost Stories from Ancient Rome, and Medieval Ghost Stories. The collection also includes two new short stories, published for the first time; 'The Abandoned Mummy' re-tells a story from ancient Egypt that is more than three thousand years old, while 'The Shining Men' recounts a quite different paranormal encounter with a strange saucer-shaped ship in the sky in ancient Rome. All the stories across the collection have been inspired by folklore, histories, legends and comedies from the ancient and medieval worlds. From the ruins of Troy and Italy in the shadow of the Ancient Romans, through the kingdoms of Ireland, Iceland, and Norway, to the great myths and legends of Britain, no one is safe from the tortured souls that roam their lands, looking for absolution.
