Goethe began this unique work from his personal background as an artist and writer who deals with sensory data as aesthetic elements and not purely physical manifestations, in order to correct and discuss Newton''s perception, which encouraged the emergence of a reductive physical climate, which attempts to deconstruct the perceived phenomena instead of dealing with them as an integrated entity, and takes away the impressionistic and sensory aspect.
