ACCOUNTED FOR

Eight months ago, the logbook at Station Nine recorded a death that hadn't happened yet.Ruth Ahearn takes the records post at the Narrows to be somewhere nobody knows her. Her own name is already in it: lost, mile forty. In her handwriting. Dated last April. Then the radio begins reading tomorrow's entries before anyone has written them. A mechanic's frostbitten hand appears in the log hours before it freezes. And a voice Cal buried eight years ago says the name of the youngest man on the crew.Pike wants the count to balance. Cal wants to pay a debt with his own life. Ruth, who has spent a lifetime hiding in procedure, has seven days to do the one thing the book never expects: make sure nobody is left uncounted.A slow-burn winter horror about the people we let slip, the ones who hold on to us, and the love that keeps a name from being lost.Book One of The Station Nine Ledger.
