This book was completed in the thirteenth year of the Chunxi era (1186) of the reign of Emperor Xiaozong, Zhao Shen, of the Southern Song Dynasty. The author was Ye Dalian. The complete work is divided into three volumes (upper, middle, and lower), encompassing 17 categories, and includes 540 famous formulas (comprising 18 decoction formulas and 13 aromatic formulas), along with 11 appended formulas. Additionally, the final category, "Emergency Formulas for All Urgent Conditions," contains 61 entries, all of which are unnamed formulas. Each entry is not limited to a single formula and provides simple, practical formulas for emergencies.

This book takes various diseases as the overarching framework, with formulas organized accordingly. The order of diseases is as follows: the upper volume covers wind disorders, cold damage (shanghan), and qi disorders; the middle volume covers tonification and replenishment, chronic cold conditions, accumulated heat disorders, phlegm-fluid accumulation and cough, diarrhea and dysentery, and gynecological disorders; the lower volume covers pediatric disorders, miscellaneous diseases, eye disorders, throat, oral, and dental conditions, as well as swellings, sores, injuries, and fractures. At the end of the book, following the model of the Formulary of the Bureau of Peaceful Benevolent Dispensaries (Heji Jufang), it includes "Decoction Formulas," "Aromatic Formulas," and a section on "Emergency Formulas for All Urgent Conditions." Although the entire work consists of only three volumes, it contains a considerable number of formulas. What distinguishes this book from other formularies is that it frequently notes the source of each formula and, in many cases, includes relevant medical records (case histories) of treated conditions.

本书成书于南宋孝宗赵昚熙淳十三（1186）年，作者叶大廉。全书分上、中、下3卷，列17门，包括名方540首（其中包括汤方18首、香方14首），附方11首。另在最后一门"备急诸方"中列61条，均为无名方，每条并不限于一方，为应急简便方。

本书以诸病为纲，统领诸方。诸病次第如下：上卷为诸风、伤寒、气；卷中为补益、痼冷、积热、痰饮咳嗽、泄痢、妇人；卷下为小儿、杂病、眼目、咽喉口齿、疮肿伤折等。书末仿《和剂局方》，载"汤方""香谱"，又列"备急诸方"。全书虽仅三卷，然收方则不少。该书不同于其他方书之处，在于多注明方剂来源，并或载有相关所治医案。
