Every day, over 100 workers do not make it home from their jobs. This staggering statistic was what first compelled me to pursue a career in occupational safety and health. Having witnessed the aftermath of preventable tragedies far too many times, I was driven to do everything in my power to help protect workers from harm.

As a safety professional with over 15 years of experience in various industries, I've seen firsthand the tragic consequences that can result from inadequate safety programs and an uninformed approach to occupational health hazards. I've witnessed needless injuries, long-term illnesses and, in the worst cases, premature loss of life. At the same time, I've also seen the positive impact that can come from prioritizing safety as a core value and ensuring workers have the knowledge and support to do their jobs as safely as possible.
