Gary Mosby is completely ordinary.

That may make him the strangest person in Wobblehurst.

Forty-something, unemployed, and struggling to find direction, Gary falls asleep in a quiet Sacramento park and awakens in a world where buildings float, water flows upward, animals talk, clocks give bad advice, and reality changes without warning.

Because Gary remains physically unchanged, the residents of Wobblehurst identify him as a Regular. Unfortunately, being regular does not prevent him from becoming the world's most reluctant problem-solver.

While searching for a way home, Gary joins forces with Xee, a raccoon mechanic who sometimes becomes a red panda; Kiha, a mysterious yellow alien; Wilfred Langstaff, an unpredictable steampunk genius; and Carlton, a remarkably stable rabbit whose strange top hat may conceal more than it reveals.

Gary's journey takes him through impossible bureaucracy, underground rabbit cities, cosmic miniature golf, singing fish, candy rain, living playing cards, judgmental bees, malfunctioning elevators, vacationing demons, and a maze designed to make every shortcut more complicated.

At the center of the chaos is Krakara, a brilliant yellow raptor inventor whose unstable machine may be responsible for the fractures between worlds. Like Gary, Krakara only wants to return home-but every attempt risks pulling something new into Wobblehurst.
