Maverick Holstrom has never been one to let go easily. But then again, most people don't know just how fragile life can be. He knows he needs to let Ashleigh go, though. Everyone knows it.

In fact, things are so perfect she begins to contemplate settling down... But when danger comes knocking at Mercenary Ranch, threatening her newfound family, Cheyenne must make a choice. Stay...or run.
