As an elementary teacher, I constantly create engaging lesson plans and activities for my students. While teaching my grade one Science students about Hibernation and Migration, the ideas for these books " Where Sleeps The Bear?" and " Where flies The Bird?" were conceptualized. I loved using storybooks that creatively explained academic topics, which was a valuable tool in keeping them engaged and active in their learning. In addition, I was able to use this topic to facilitate literacy activities that helped students learn how to read better. An interdisciplinary approach? Yes!
