Thirty-Three

Be home by nightfall.

Jordan Parker, a gifted young artist, takes a teaching job at a quiet village school to chase his dream. On his very first evening, he is given a warning: leave the school before it gets dark. That night, he sees a motionless shadow outside his window, standing exactly where the school stands.

But the school keeps calling him back.

The villagers refuse to talk about what lies beneath its corridors. Children once disappeared here, and the old fear has never really gone. When a group of young men vanishes near the school gate, Jordan realises that the silence is hiding something. His own mother disappeared when he was six, and he is beginning to wonder whether the two secrets are connected.

With his childhood friend Faria beside him, Jordan starts asking questions. But every answer leads to a deeper one, and every night grows darker than the last.

Some places hold more than just memories.
