The dinner table was a place of story telling; my father loved telling stories about his childhood where he grew up in his father's family owned bakery. My father always said that one of his greatest regrets, however, was never writing down any of my grandfather's recipes. When my grandfather passed away at a tragically young age, as did his magical presence in the kitchen.
