Promises Of Our Lord To St. Margaret Mary

An intimate examination of the promises made to St Margaret Mary - the words that kindled a devotion and shaped Catholic piety. A luminous study of devotion. Paul Wenisch, Fr. lays out a careful textual, theological and pastoral study, at once a Catholic devotional study and a theological analysis book, and also serves as a pastoral reflections guide for ministers and lay readers. The volume traces the St Margaret Mary visions within the social and spiritual soil of seventeenth-century France, shows how those encounters informed the Sacred Heart devotion, and offers Jesus' promises explained with scrupulous attention to sources and pastoral consequence. Wenisch balances textual rigour with pastoral imagination, explaining difficult theological points without obscuring devotional warmth. Readers seeking devotional depth or scholarly clarity find lucid exposition, measured argument and compassionate application: plain explanation for contemplatives and reliable reference for researchers.

Historically significant, Wenisch locates the revelations within the currents of Christian mysticism history and maps their reception in popular piety. The tone is approachable for casual readers while rewarding collectors of classic Catholic literature and those assembling a lives of the saints collection. As a clergy and seminarians resource, it supplies measured commentary useful to preaching and to Catholic spiritual formation. Because it sits at the intersection of scholarly commentary and devotional literature, it is equally suited to personal reading, parish study and theological libraries. It rewards slow reading and repeated consultation, offering new perspective on familiar prayers and practices. Quietly erudite and pastorally attuned, the study deepens Catholic spiritual formation across generations. Republished by Alpha Editions in a careful modern edition, this volume preserves the spirit of the original while making it effortless to enjoy today - a heritage title prepared for readers and collectors alike. For readers drawn to theology, devotion and lived pastoral care, Wenisch's study remains a steady companion and an elegant bridge between scholarship and prayer.
