Then the water turns dark, and the words on the wall stop sounding like a threat.

Vyker is already gone, chasing memories that may hold the only way to break the curse keeping him from River. But the deeper he searches into his forgotten past, the closer he comes to a love he buried long before his rebirth.

River is left behind in Gregory Lake, watching over a sister who should have died years ago. She wants to believe Rain has been given another chance, even as something about her return feels terribly wrong.

Flair wakes from visions of a council brought to its knees while grief continues to hollow out the life she once knew. Cort discovers that pieces of her own past have been stolen, and a mysterious voice warns her that revealing the truth could kill someone she loves.

Elaine stays beside Vyker as he searches for everything he has lost. She knows his heart belongs to someone else, but loving him has never meant walking away when he needs her most.

As forgotten feelings surface and unexpected relationships begin to grow, the people of Gregory Lake try to hold together the family they built after losing so much.

River discovers another warning, that October 31st, the town will be attacked by a force they never expected.
