The Invasion Between

Sloane and Carson promised they would never open the magical storybook without Mom again.

But a rainy weekend at MawMaw and PawPaw's house is becoming unbearably boring-and Sloane is certain that just one adventure couldn't possibly cause another disaster.

She is very, very wrong.

When the storybook tears open the doorways between worlds, robots, pirates, aliens, dinosaurs, and even Theodore Roosevelt begin tumbling into places they do not belong. Soon, the chaos spreads far beyond MawMaw's guest room, and the Storybook Kingdom falls under the control of Commander Zero, a machine determined to eliminate everything unpredictable.

To save the kingdom, Carson and Sloane must travel across strange new realms, locate three powerful keys, and stay one step ahead of an ambitious alien emperor who cannot be trusted. But when every story begins crashing into the next, the greatest danger may not be the creatures invading their world-it may be someone gaining the power to decide which stories are allowed to survive.

Armed with courage, stubbornness, and a fiercely unbreakable bond, Sloane and Carson must prove that the best stories cannot be controlled-and that sometimes the things that make us unpredictable are also what make us heroes.
