The Codex Of The Last Supper

Set in Alexandria in 250AD, The Codex of the Last Supper is a thriller historical novel that immerses readers in a city of intellectual brilliance, religious tension, and political intrigue during a pivotal era of early Christianity.

In an age torn between faith and reason, Alexandria stood as the beating heart of philosophy and thought - a stage for the eternal struggle between the light of belief and the shadows of esoteric knowledge. The novel opens with a public debate between a prominent Church leader and followers of Gnostic philosophy, where dialogue becomes a battlefield, exposing the conflict between inherited faith and hidden knowledge in a city alive with questions about salvation and truth.

When Emperor Decius issued his 250AD edict compelling all citizens to offer sacrifices to the Roman gods and obtain a Libellus of loyalty, the delicate balance of the city was shattered. Persecution swept through Alexandria, intertwining the fates of Christians, Jews, and pagans in a human epic that transcends doctrine to explore the very essence of existence.

Amid this turmoil emerges the journey of three seekers in pursuit of a lost historical manuscript known as The Twin Codex. Their quest traces the path of the Holy Family across deserts and sanctuaries, blending historical adventure with symbolic and spiritual reflection. It is an intellectual and emotional odyssey where history converges with myth, suffering with faith, and an eternal question arises: which leads mankind to salvation - knowledge or faith?

The Codex of the Last Supper weaves philosophical depth with a gripping narrative, blending historical precision with spiritual reflection, and offering a profound journey into human destiny amid one of history's most turbulent and inspiring eras.
