His story continued after the war, despite his wartime trauma, testifying in the War Crimes Trial, raising a family, and serving our nation in the US Navy for twenty years active duty and ten years inactive reserve duty.
My father was one man among many other ordinary men and women, doing the extraordinary. We must not forget this Greatest Generation. We owe them our very existence.
