Sowing Promises

Sowing Promises is a family saga, set on a farm. This is a heart-warming tale of romance and family life, surrounded by the tensions and pressures of raising beef cattle in an ever reducing market. Whilst members of the family might disagree, the bonds of love holding them together, and some well placed humour, enables them to support each other through all that life throws at them.

Susan and Tom continue to work the farm, raising beef cattle amidst mud and beauty and juggling budgets. They have raised their four adult sons to be strong-minded, independent young men - but Susan realises that this means some of their life choices will differ from her own. She discovers that being a parent never ends - and being a grandparent involves another steep learning curve, full of joy and niggles and unspoken opinions. When her church decides to have a debate that threatens one of her sons, the whole family rallies to support her.

Dot continues to be part of family life, offering her help and views and watching her grandsons develop into adults. But then something shatters her world, and she is unsure if anything will ever be the same again.

While Jack and Josie's relationship continues, they struggle to save their farm from bankruptcy - but at what cost? Can their fledgling relationship survive the tensions of money worries and insecurity? Then Edward returns, and old attractions begin to undermine the foundations before they have been established.
