Solar Flare

It's the late 2020s, and a young man, Jimmy, is coming of age in a growingly hostile and dangerous world. America had just endured four years of hard-right government, further expanding the gap between the haves and the have-nots. America had become a playground for billionaires.

He is part of a small group of young people, all of whom are have-nots. They are writers, artists, and musicians, young people who are trying to help change their world. They are doing so following the model of the 1960s cultural revolution, the Dylan era, as they coined it.

Jimmy is madly in love with a beautiful young woman from a wealthy family, and she is also in love with him. They are infatuated with each other, but her parents forbid her to see him, for it seems he is not from the right side of the tracks.
One day, a series of massive solar flares emits an Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) from the Sun. This flare effectively begins to destroy the world's technology. The event slowly sends humanity backward, and the sides of the track no longer matter.
In a world falling apart, the two of them strive to find love while coming of age themselves.
