SCORPIO

SHE HAD WRITTEN THE PERFECT ROLE. NOW SHE JUST NEEDED AN ACTOR.

Margaret Ellison has always dreamed of becoming a successful writer. Living a quiet life in Coalville, Leicestershire, she has spent years writing novels and screenplays, convinced that one day somebody in the entertainment industry will recognise her talent.

But Hollywood isn't calling.

When her latest screenplay, SCORPIO, fails to attract the attention she believes it deserves, Margaret decides to take matters into her own hands. She rents an isolated barn, builds a film set and prepares to bring her story to life.

There is just one problem. She needs a leading man.

Thomas Vale is a respected television actor with a successful career, a wife and children. He has no idea that Margaret has already chosen him for the role of a lifetime.

Armed with her grandfather's old pistol and an extraordinary amount of determination, Margaret embarks on a production unlike anything the British television industry has ever witnessed.

What follows is a darkly comic and increasingly unsettling tale of ambition, obsession and the dangerous distance between having a dream and believing that anything is justified in achieving it.

Sometimes the most frightening people are the ones who believe they're doing absolutely nothing wrong.
