Is there anything that can save a villain?

There was no question that Gaillard Gaylen was a villain. He had murdered his father for a crown, destroyed kingdoms without thought, and even plotted to kill his own twin sister. Despite that, his life is spared at her request, instead left to rot in a prison cell in the infamous Northern Kingdom without any hope nor future. When his life is suddenly intertwined with a girl's whose past is just as scarred as his own, though, will his villainous heart be moved to change?

Grace has been living in the Northern prisons since she was a small child, condemned to a life sentence for crimes committed before her birth. Surviving the North is difficult enough, but when a high-ranking prison guard makes her the object of his obsession, Grace is faced with more dangers than even she knew existed. Her new cellmate seems eager to protect her, though, even as they know nothing about each other. All she knows is that he has a mysterious past, almost as mysterious as the feelings he stirs in her.
