The Palmetto Bug Monster, a monstrous Noosbit superweapon, arrives from the depths of space, bringing a tidal wave of terror to wreak vengeance against mankind. It's a gigantic beast stalking the Earth, crushing all before it in its iconic cavalcade of electrifying horror, raging through the streets on a rampage of total destruction. It's an incredible titan of terror, wiping out whole cities in a holocaust of flame. Jet planes cannot destroy it, bombs cannot kill it, all modern weapons fail. Is this the end of humanity? 

No, there is hope. A superannuated Shxtor counter-weapon, the gigantic gecko code named He-Knew-Pat-Sajak, is here to stop it. But it will need the help of its android handler, a potentially demented veteran military leader, a yakuza-linked Japanese cryptozoologist, a blonde bombshell of a television reporter, the unofficial mayor of Tok, Alaska, a brave bush pilot, and a boy who seems to have a psychic connection with the lizard to stand any chance. With the whole world watching the momentous and monstrous final battle in Alaska, who will win when the two titanic terrors meet to fight for the survival of the fittest?
