The war is over.

Humanity lost.

Captain Casey Dane and the battered freighter Purgatory survive by doing what no one else dares anymore - answering distress calls. In the shattered asteroid belts beyond the dead worlds, Casey's crew smuggles refugees, raids Vorr supply lines, and searches for scraps of hope while monstrous gnoll-like hunters scour the void for human prey.

Entire stations vanish overnight. Refugee convoys become feeding grounds. Human voices on open channels cannot be trusted. Some survivors carry hidden implants that whisper to the enemy. Others are far worse.

As Purgatory gathers farmers, prisoners, scavengers, children, and the seeds of a dying civilisation, the ship becomes more than a raider vessel. It becomes a moving sanctuary - overloaded, under-armed, and hunted across the graveyards of lost fleets.

But somewhere beyond the darkness lies Anchorage Veil, a hidden harbour rumoured to be humanity's last true refuge.
