Meet Piper, a perfectly lovely gray hen who is convinced she needs a little more flair.

Flowers? Yes, please! Feathers? The more, the better! Ribbons, frills, and fancy things? Absolutely!

Piper sets off on a mission to create the most fabulous look she can imagine. Along the way, she gathers flowers, feathers, and colorful little treasures, adding more and more until she can hardly see over the top of her own fancy ensemble.

When Piper finally arrives to show her friend Priscilla her magnificent creation, things don't quite go as planned. One little mishap sends Piper-and all her pretty things-straight into a muddy puddle!

With her decorations washed away, Piper wonders if her friend will still want to play.
