Midnight Wings

My name is Belle and I'm a human thief living in vampire territory. My biggest desire it to run my own crew. That's why I take a dangerous job and that's why I'm now stuck in the Angel Academy doing my best not to fall in love with the enemy.

I've accepted my fate as a nobody human. In fact, I've embraced it. In the shadow of Fallen City, the Halo is a horrific place. But it's what I call home and I'm determined to make the most of it. That includes being free from my vampire boss.

After all my preparation everything goes horribly wrong, and my mark tries to murder me.

When my death doesn't take, he forces me to attend the Angel Academy, where I do my best not to fall for the vicious beast of an archangel determined to make me the same as him.

And then I do the unthinkable, which puts me in even bigger trouble.

Will the beast notice I'm gone?

If he does, he'll probably celebrate. Because, despite everything between us, I'm sure the Beast doesn't care for me at all.

Too bad I can't claim to feel the same way. Not only that but I may never get the chance to tell the Beast I hate him so much I think I might love him.
