Lemonade for the Soul

We have all gone through a season where you are tired physically, emotionally and spiritually. Some seasons are harder than others, but the good news is that seasons are temporary. It is hard to keep a positive perspective at times and yes, these are the lemons, the storms that we go through in life, but we can choose to be sour like the world or drink the sweetness of Jesus. God's love is immeasurable and never-changing. It doesn't matter what problems we are experiencing in our lives God will always be there for us. In the Bible, we read how the Israelites went through hard times when they were exiled to Babylon, and Jesus Himself went through hard times when He was convicted as an innocent man, crucified, and died on the cross. Some of the His disciples endured the hard times when they had to go on without Him after His ascension. The Bible tells us about hard times through verses which specifically mention phrases like trials, temptations, grief, and tribulation and are best illustrated by the people who endured them.

Our reactions to various hard times should reflect our faith in the Lord. Therefore, our first stop is prayer. Speaking to our Father, crying out to Abba (Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6), is like pouring ourselves out to Him and reminding ourselves Who is in control. Trust Him. A part of the process of taking lemons and making it into lemonade is understanding who we are, our mindset, and our hearts. Lemonade for the Soul. Finding Hope in the Storms looks deep within ourselves and what the Bible tells about our struggles, those hard times, and how we are never alone. It doesn't matter what problems we are experiencing in our lives God will always be there for us. He will never leave us. God's lemonade stand is open for business.
