When Hadley Baker's best friend invites her to spend the summer in a small coastal Maine town, she jumps at the chance. Hadley also harbors secrets: she's just been fired from her middle school teaching job and has vacated her crummy apartment in Massachusetts, craving a fresh start. On her first day in town, she spots a silver-haired man and fears she'll never want to leave.

Cam Tucker returned to his hometown of Shearwater Cove sixteen years ago as a single dad and an even more single guy. Never expecting to be a purveyor of coffee and sweet treats, he spends his days manning the local coffee shop. He's content with his life-until he sees the blonde, tattooed woman in overalls who turns his whole world upside down.
