Inspector Rocky is the beginning of an exciting detective series featuring a sharp, determined police inspector who refuses to accept appearances as truth.
Joseph, a successful engineer in Kochi, marries Seena after demanding an enormous dowry of gold and cash. Although Seena is not considered beautiful by society's conventional standards, Joseph accepts the marriage because of the wealth involved. After their honeymoon, he sells her gold and uses the money to purchase a large building for his dream software company.
Then Seena is found dead in their bedroom.
The apparent cause is a snakebite. A poisonous snake is discovered inside the room, leading everyone to believe that it had somehow entered accidentally. But Inspector Rocky is not convinced. There seems to be no reasonable way for the snake to have entered the sealed bedroom.
As Rocky investigates, disturbing facts about Joseph's behaviour emerge. Seena had been repeatedly insulted and mistreated. Joseph had financial motives, and his connection with a mysterious snake charmer raises further questions.
Before Rocky can complete his investigation, Joseph begins searching for another wealthy bride.
