Injuries in football

Playing football can lead to a variety of injuries. It places increasingly heavy demands on the body due to the necessary increase in training volume, as well as technical and tactical changes. The more one plays, the more the body needs to recover. In the event of an anatomical injury, there is a risk of recurrence, long-term effects or even serious complications that delay a timely return to sport and may either impair sporting performance or prevent participation altogether. Returning to competition after an injury remains a nightmare for the medical staff, who must manage the situation as effectively as possible whilst minimising time off from sport. The coaching and medical staff play a major role in the prevention and management of injuries in footballers. The aim of treating plantar fasciitis is to relieve pain and restore function. It requires the simultaneous use of conventional treatments. The tendency for this condition to become chronic is disappointing not only for patients but also for doctors. The results of our study illustrate the complexity of this treatment and the uncertainty surrounding its long-term outcomes.
