1980s icon Jeanne "Hollywood" Basone opens up for the first time on her roller coaster ride in her memoir Hooray For Hollywood! She is the first, longest-running, and arguably most popular character on the hit syndicated television show Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) - directed by Matt Cimber, ex-husband of Jayne Mansfield - which aired in 100 major markets in the U.S. and was broadcast around the world in the 80s. It has been said that GLOW brought the glitz and glamour of Vegas to professional wrestling and TV.

So how did an unknown, skinny girl from the suburbs with no contacts or experience go on to become one of the first internationally famous female wrestlers, shattering the glass ceiling for an entire generation, and starting her own successful production company?
