The research focuses on young Georgian women's §migration experience to Germany. Specifically, its §aim is to discover whether young Georgian migrant §women feel themselves empowered as a result of §migration and if so, what they see as the §constitutive elements of the empowerment. The study §is placed into a theoretical framework of the §integrative approach to feminized migration which §has multiple levels of analyisis: the state(macro), §individual (micro) and society (meso) levels in both §migrant sending and receiving countries. §§The research showed that young Georgian women's §opportunities to have access to a higher western §type education in Germany, the possibility to lead §an independent life, to have a stable income, to §finance their studies and organize their lives were §percieved as empowering aspects of migration.
