The book finds that the workingpatterns and concerns of immigrants continue todiffer from those of the native workforce. Issuesof exploitation and work intensification, through tomore subtle concerns about under-employment andblocked career paths continue tocharacterise the working lives of Australianimmigrant workers. Overall, however, immigrants'occupational status is improving within thisrapidly changing economic and structural context.
