Forever Girl

Ten-year-old Maliane is a carefree, go nowhere English schoolgirl with boring parents and a pain-in-the-neck kid brother. But she's close to being four thousand days old, when carefree will cease to be an option. Never aging, never getting sick--still needing to survive... tough enough in this world, near impossible when trapped in another.
Maliane's life is upended when her family abruptly relocates to a fishing village off the coast of Virginia. Ghostly whispers, a quirky aunt protected by kamikaze birds--nothing makes sense until Maliane begins to unravel her incredible legacy. Untrained and ignorant, she and her friends are pulled into a parallel world where evolution has taken a detour and time moves tenfold faster. Secrets gather and treachery brews after Maliane learns of a twin sister, now decades older. Only together can they save their father and friends by challenging a maniacal evil obsessed by one scrap of knowledge lost within Maliane's mind: the location of the Pente--last piece of an alien device able to save or destroy humanity itself.
Forever Girl is a multi-level journey... a female-strong, fantasy adventure of promises kept and fears overcome; of young heroes lost in mystery and mythology armed with little more than their growing, unbreakable bond of friendship.
