FAIR Enough

The aim of this book is to present a practical guide on how to use to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles effectively in FAIR data stewardship contexts. The book follows a project-based learning approach. It provides a use case that is worked out throughout the book in a stepwise FAIRification process. Before each step, the required knowledge for executing it is provided. Whenever necessary, additional examples give the reader enough knowledge to handle situations beyond those defined in the running use case.

The book is based on almost 8 years of experience teaching the FAIR principles and the FAIRification process, including training over 200 data stewards associated with the Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration (NeIC), data stewards and data scientists in Southern California, Irish bio-medical researchers, and Master's students of Computer Science and Business and Information Technologies of the University of Twente in the "FAIR data engineering" course.

The book is intended to be used its target groups in both academic and industrial settings. The structure of the book follows the FAIRification process and the required knowledge for each of the steps.
