This comprehensive biography of Eduardo Rene Chibas (1907-1951) traces the life and times of an idol of Cuba's youth during the late 1940s and early 1950s. A man whose unconditional supporters included Fidel Castro, Chibas built his political career in large measure as a defender of Cuba's 1940 constitution, which he had helped craft.
