Druid's Spell

When ten-year-old Raoul crosses the Channel from France to medieval England, he expects adventure. What he doesn't expect is a magical torc, talking animals, and a kingdom on the brink of chaos.

After discovering an ancient necklace buried beneath a mysterious hill, Raoul finds himself able to communicate with nature-stalking trees, talking animals, and whispering rivers that warn of danger. When King Canute and Queen Emma are suddenly petrified by a powerful spell, England is thrown into turmoil, and a ruthless heir seizes his chance at the crown.

With his loyal cousin, Walter, and two fierce forest siblings, Airn and Anwyn, Raoul is drawn into a forgotten world of Celtic gods, druids, and ancient magic. To save the King and Queen and stop the land itself from turning against its people, the children must appeal to the gods and goddesses of the seasons, beginning with the wrathful Oak King, guardian of summer.

As storms rage, plants overrun the countryside, and political betrayal closes in, Raoul must decide what kind of hero he will be. One who rules through power or one who listens to the land.
