Doug the Tug: One Wheel Rupert is the third book in the Doug the Tug series. This uplifting book is about a tugboat named Rupert that is not given a fair chance by a mean tugboat in the harbor because he has one less propellor (wheel) than the other tugs. Rupert shows him that just because some tugboats might not have the same number of wheels or propellors, that it doesn't mean they can't do the same job.
One wheel Rupert is based off the author's grandfather Rupert who at a young age lost one of his arms. He was able live a long and normal life proving every day that he was just like everyone else but usually stronger.
About the Author: Captain Doug Edmonds
Captain Doug is a towboat captain and can be found navigating the eaters on the Intracoastal Waterway from Florida to Texas and on the Lower Mississippi River. All of the Doug the Tug books have been written by Doug while on the boat during his off time.
