Devoid of Light

Have you ever wondered what happened to the kid who got bullied at your school?

At the twenty-year high school reunion, Caleb Hunt has other things on his mind. The girl of his dreams is approaching with a smile. Unbeknownst to him; a solid foe is lurking in the crowd of alums.

Fireworks spark quickly for Caleb and Mars Sundean, and they begin a courtship of true romance. And then Caleb finds a cardboard box on his doorstep. It's addressed to him. When he opens the box and inhales the offensive smell of death, his entire life gets flipped upside down.

His best friend's severed head is facing him. A reckless detective interrogates him like a perp. There is a thin line between the demeanor of grief and guilt. Caleb wears that look on his face because Blake is dead and he blames himself. Little does anyone know, a sadistic killer is meticulously acting on a revenge list of bullies who picked on him in high school. The product of abuse, neglect, and violence is three steps ahead of everyone involved. He stalks and taunts his victims, but all he wants in life is to make people suffer. Caleb Hunt better get himself a gun, because his name is on the list and the cops are not on his side.

Campanella's Devoid of Light is a reality check to our false sense of security. The author steps down on the gas and keeps the pedal on the floor until the last word.
