Mientras los hogares españoles se aprietan el cinturón, mi¡llo¡nes de familias africanas se aprietan el vientre. Si bien aún no po¡demos hablar de un claro incremento global de la desnutrición aguda, quienes dedican el 75% de sus ingresos a comprar alimentos sólo cuentan con salidas extremas ante este tipo de coyunturas: reducir el número de raciones de alimentos, endeudarse, vender sus enseres o emigrar. Esto acarreará más pronto que tarde conse¡cuencias sobre el estado nutricional y la salud de millones de personas si no se actúa a tiempo. Se necesitan urgentemente recursos y vo¡luntad para traducir la política mundial en respuestas eficaces que hagan frente a las necesidades de los más afectados y vulnerables.
