Daisy and Her Four Kids

Daisy used to be a pet goat.

She lived in town, in a yard with a soft green lawn, and every day she played with the boy. Daisy thought the whole wide world was that yard.

Then one day she went for a ride down a long road - and the door opened somewhere else entirely. Chickens scratching. Guineas hollering all at once. Peacocks dragging their tails like fans. A horse as tall as the sky. And then a great big herd of goats, who all stopped and looked at her.

Daisy took one step. Then another. Then she walked right in through the gate.

This is the true story of a small Nigerian Dwarf goat who left town, learned to be a farm goat, made a friend named Elvis - who is very handsome, and knows it - and one spring morning surprised the farmer with four babies at once.

Every goat in this book is real. Daisy, Elvis, Thelma, Louise, Hank and Willie live at Blue Dragon Hollow Farm in Blum, Texas, and their markings, their eye colours and the morning the four kids arrived are all exactly as they happened. The bluebonnets are real too.
