When Timothy "Drip" Dallas, a veteran water resource engineer for New York City's Department of Environmental Water Sewer System, is jolted awake at 3 a.m. by the frantic call of his partner Greg, he has no idea his world is about to collapse. The water flowing from his faucet runs dark with toxins. Within hours, every pipe in the five boroughs is shut down-and the city of eight million begins its descent into desperation.
