I never understood why I kept finding myself in harmful relationships until I looked back at my childhood.

In this memoir, I share how childhood abuse, neglect, trauma, and years of domestic abuse shaped the way I saw myself, trusted others, and accepted behaviours I did not recognise as abuse. As I began to understand my own experiences, I also began to see how childhood can influence the choices we make, the relationships we build, and the beliefs we carry into adult life.

I wrote this book for anyone who has experienced adversity, questioned the impact of their past, supports someone affected by abuse, or wants to better understand how childhood experiences can shape a person's life.
