Chhabi te Kabita

Ninety visual/concrete poems have been compiled in the book Chobite Kobita. This is a genre of poetry where the visual arrangement of words enriches the poem's meaning. Instead of relying on language in a linear progression, visual poetry merges textual expression with spatial design.This genre transforms poetry into a hybrid art form operating somewhere between literature and the visual arts. The reader does not just read the poem; they see it as well.Visual poetry incorporates various experimental forms where typography, spacing, and visual arrangement shape the poetic experience. Concrete poetry gained particular prominence as a movement in the mid-twentieth century. Here, words are arranged in such a way that the form aligns with the poem's subject matter. For instance, a poem about the sun might be circular, while a poem about a violin might take the shape of a violin. In this way, meaning manifests through both language and form. The poem becomes a visual object that the reader interprets on two distinct levels.Over the past few years, I have experimented with visual poetry. I have written over ninety visual poems exploring various symbolic forms, such as natural elements, musical instruments, cosmic symbols, and cultural signs. In these compositions, the visual structure is not mere ornamentation but an intrinsic part of the poem's meaning. Each poem attempts to connect visual perception with emotional and conceptual expression.
