Brick and Masonry buildings dating from the 1600's to todays are represented by pictures as means of understanding the beauty and complexity of this construction technique.

DO-It:
For the professional or the Do-it-Yourself homeowner there are ideas and tips on how others have accomplished or not their brick and masonry projects. Shown in picture format are some great projects and some great failures, with explanations of the 'why'.

AUTHOR:
The author, William (Bill) C. McElroy is the author of Fences and Retaining Walls, The Painter's Handbook (Craftsman Book Company), and The Roof Builder's Handbook (Prentice Hall). He is the co-author of Electrical Blueprint Reading (Craftsman Book Company) and he has designed and built homes and duplex homes as well as having done extensive remodeling of both Row and Single-family homes.
