Before Mars

Humanity's history doesn't begin where we thought. And someone has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep it buried.

When archaeologist Dr. Mara Voss helped uncover evidence that challenged everything humanity believed about its origins, she expected controversy. She didn't expect the trail to lead to Mars.

Now, an ancient geometric pattern points toward a forgotten chapter of human history-one that predates civilization on Earth. As scientists race to understand the evidence, powerful interests move to control what the world is allowed to discover.

For Mara, the search becomes more than a scientific expedition. Her partner, Elias Vale, is following clues left by his mother, who vanished decades earlier while investigating the same mystery. The deeper they dig, the more their discoveries suggest that the past was not simply forgotten.

It may have been deliberately rewritten.

From hidden archives on Earth to the desolate landscape of Mars, Mara must navigate dangerous rivalries, impossible discoveries, and a truth that could redefine humanity's place in the universe.

Because the greatest question is no longer whether humans once lived on another world.

It's what happened before Mars.

Before Mars is the second novel in The Provenance Series, an archaeological science-fiction thriller blending ancient mysteries, scientific discovery, suspense, and the search for humanity's forgotten origins.

Some histories are lost. Others are erased.
