An identifiable work of Iktinos, the architect of the Parthenon, the building exhibits numerous unusual and uncanonical features that heralded a revolution in Greek architectural design. Volume III contains the catalogue of drawings of the measured blocks; reproductions of 19th- and 20th-century drawings and unpublished photographs, as well as photographs of significant blocks; and facsimiles of the pages concerned with Bassai from Carl Haller's field notebook.
